Beam Modes

This module will determine the first 3 Euler Beam natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes. Up to 10 beam segments with each having their own E, I, L, weight density and A. Each node can be fixed, free or simply supported. Nodal weights can be added as well as vertical and torsional springs. Any consistent units system can be used. The frequencies are in Hertz.

Model summary

Inputs: Number of segments with their respective section properties.
Inputs: Nodal boundary conditions including concentrated weights.
Outputs: First 3 natural bending frequencies and their mode shapes.
Helpful hint 1: Nodes and segments are clickable for easy changes.
Helpful hint 2: A configuration and results can be saved to a JSON file for future downloading and reuse.
