This active web form can be used to calculate the nonlinear buckling load of a general axial member. Up to 5 different beam segments can be used with each having different section properties. Boundaries include free, simple support and fixed slope. Both lateral and torsional springs can also be used. Output includes the buckling load and a summary of the configuration. All dimensional units must be consistent with each other. Each segment has a length, L elastic modulus, E and area moment of Inertia, I. Each node can be free, fixed, simply-supported, have a lateral spring and/or torsional spring.
