Static Beam

A static Euler beam solution with up to 10 beam segments, with each having their own segment properties of L, E, A I, wd, St, Sb, qL and qR. Each node separating the segments can be fixed, simply supported, free or hinged. They can also have a concentrated vertical load, moment, vertical spring and/or torsional spring, deflection or angle.

Model summary

Input: Number of segments, segment properties, and segment loads. nodal boundary conditions and loads.
Input: Nodal boundary conditions and loads.
Outputs: Deflections, shear and moment diagrams. Segment top and bottom bending stresses.
Helpful hint 1: The nodes and segments are clickable for easy changes.
Helpful hint 2: The cases can be saved to a JSON file that can loaded back in for continued analysis.
