1D Body Impulse Response

This calculator will determine the body response to an impulse load. The body is suspended on a spring damper. This version is limited to one vertical degree of freedom.

Model summary

Inputs: Body weight, spring rate and viscous damping, impulse parameters selected from ½ sine, triangular, rectangular, sawtooth and random.
Outputs:Natural frequency, critical damping, % critical damping and other. 1D body acceleration response.
Hint:The configuration and results can be saved to a JSON file for future use.
Use case: quick what-ifs, sensitivity, and early sizing.
